Title: Business Graphics Editor Opening

Candidates should have the ability to conceive of original ideas for both interactive graphics and print pieces that accompany articles and stand alone. They should be strong reporters who thrive on the news and occasionally report from the field, and they should have advanced skills in cartography and design able to execute a variety of sophisticated, finished graphics.

Candidates should also have some proficiency in HTML/CSS, and they must integrate well onto a team as there will be frequent, close collaboration with reporters and editors in the Graphics department and on the Business desk.

Requirements:
– Ability to develop data-driven stories
– Research, writing and editing strength
– Proficiency in development of interactive graphics or Web sites
– Skill in interface design and traditional information graphic design
– Ability to analyze data in programs such as Microsoft Excel, SQL databases or other statistical software
– Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

  POSITION SUMMARY:

Chanel, Inc. seeks an Office Services Clerk to be a resource to help keep co-workers happy in the office. This person will be responsible for day-to-day office support functions: assisting co-workers by moving items in and out of the office in a dependable and friendly manner. This includes sorting and distribution of incoming mail, outbound shipping/package preparation, supporting meeting and break rooms, maintaining basic office supplies inventory, copier assistance, new hire setup, and other support functions.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Accurately receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages to 3 locations for a combined customer base of about 500 people

– Provide electronic verification of delivery

– Prepare outgoing mail and material including advice and researching most cost effective method of shipment

– Conduct daily walk-through of the office to ensure safe, clean, and organized workplace

– Welcome new hires by providing supplies and being available to answer general questions

– Order and maintain mail supplies, kitchen supplies, keys, and other basic facilities equipment

– Help maintain and replenish supplies for all office copiers

– Supervise vendors

– Assist with storage of bulk shipments of product and materials

– Assist with conference rooms set-up and breakdown

– Assist in routine office moves and reconfigurations

– Provide special services (trip to post office, gift distribution, etc.) upon request

– Communicate and collaborate with other members of Office Services team

– Break coverage for Receptionist if needed

– Suggest and implement improvements

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of relevant experience

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

– Customer service experience

– Basic knowledge of basic postal rates, regulations and requirements
